Energy passport of the building is certificate which contains information about the energy class of the building and points to the final annual consumption of thermal energy for heating. Certification of buildings should be accepted as protection of consumers in the purchase of real estate. Building energy passport contains 5 pages, but the most important for property buyers are first, second and fourth.

On the first page you can read general information about the object, such as the owner's name, particulars, location, name of architect, photos of the building, and to learn about its energy class. Building's energy class is determined on the basis of data on energy consumption for heating per year, calculated in accordance with the regulation governing the energy performance of buildings. On this basis, the building is classified into energy classes from A + with the lowest (≤15 kWh / m2a) to G with the highest energy consumption (> 250 kWh / m2a).

The other side of passport contains climate data, information on systems and elements of the thermal layer, and you can learn all about the insulation, and windows that are set on the object.

The third page contains a detailed budget of energy consumption, so that you can assume what are the expected costs, even before moving in and staying in an apartment.

The fourth side contains appropriate measures for improving the energy efficiency of the building. For each object that is not Class A, on this side there must be written recommendations by engineers, how to improve the situation in the future. Certificate, or the energy passport, are issued by engineers, persons who have passed the professional exam and who possess the license 381. The certificate is made for unity, regardless of whether it comes to building with apartments or family houses.
